In the first step we have to take the fresh citron clean them thorough;ly to remove any dirt or dust particles. After washing cut the citron into thin slices and remove the seeds . Keep in mind don’t peel off the citron otherwise you will not get the exact aroma off the citron tea. After slicing the citron take a piece off ginger scrape off the ginger skin by using a sharp knife and cut it into thin slices’
Layer the Mixture
In the next step we have to take a clean jar. Now start with a layer of sliced citron then add a layer of sliced ginger over sliced citron then add a layer of honey on it. Now repeat the whole process again and make all the layers in jar at the end add a layer of honey.Β
Press and Seal
Now press gently all the layers with the help of spoon to remove any air pockets .Now seal the lid of the jar tightly.
Store the Jar
Let the mixture rest in a cool, dark place or refrigerate for at least 5β7 days to allow the flavors to meld and the citron and ginger to release their juices.
Make the Tea
Now boil the water and add that boiled water into cup. Now add 1 or 2 tbsp of mixture into boiled water stir it well for flavours . serve it hot and enjoy the special tea.
